Vulci Archaeological Park
The Excursion
The town of Vulci is (was) located on a plateau on the Fiora river, called Pian di Voce, located approximately halfway between the current towns of Montalto di Castro and Canino.
In the Archaeological Natural Park it will be possible to admire the archaeological excavations of the ancient Etruscan-Roman metropolis, the noble Etruscan tombs, the finds exhibited in the National Archaeological Museum, all immersed in a nature with uncontaminated features that offers ever-changing colors, sounds and emotions: the canyon formed by the dark volcanic rock sculpted by the waters of the Fiora; the plateau populated by majestic Maremma cows and wild horses; the lush vegetation along the banks of the river, a refuge for wild boars, hares, porcupines...
